Thought I would share some of my new photos. Where does the time go these days? These are just some random pictures I have taken during the last few weeks.

Camping in the mountains!!

We had a wonderful time last week camping in the Smokies! Pop and I camped at Smokement, the same campground we all went to when our boys were small. It was wonderful being back there with our boys and their familes. The kids rented a cabin in Bryson City, N.C. and they came over and spent some time with us during the days. They had the best of boths worlds!! On Tuesday we went over to Cades Cove and had a great time. Emmy and Kingston really enjoyed the Ranger demonstrations. Emmy really enjoyed the show about the bears, and we have the pictures to prove it! "All" the kids enjoyed the stream. I have the photos to prove that as well!

Beach Trip

We had a great trip to the beach last week. The weather and the water was beautiful! Alfa always puts on the best trips and we always have a great time. Lee, Kim and the girls came over on Sunday to visit and we certainly enjoyed that. Kim, Kingston and Zadie came back on Tuedsay and played for a while, and Kingston spent the night with Gabby and Pop!!! We loved it, and she had a great time as well. Emmy and John Robert had VBS and didn't get to come this time but maybe next time it will all work out. Here are some of our beach pictures as well as some others I have saved up.

The Mixson weekend.

Our weekend started off with picking up Emmy and John Robert at school. They spent the night with Gabby and Pop while Mommy and Daddy went out of town for their anniversary. We had a great time playing in the pool, riding the golf cart and just playing outside. We certainly did enjoy those babies! On Sunday we picked up my Daddy (who is 90) and went down to Lee and Kim's at Santa Rosa Beach. We enjoyed seeing them and playing with Kingston and Zadie. They are growing so much. Kingston is getting so tall and Zadie is the sweetest thing you have ever seen. Kim had been to Disney World with her 8th grade class and brought them back a Disney towel, Minnie and Tinkerbell, Zadie loved her Minnie towel and wanted to wear it all the time. We laughed so hard at those 2 girls! We are looking foward to another fun weekend soon!

Well, another weekend has come and almost gone. We had a great weekend. Pop and I went to the lake on Friday night, mowed the grass and did some cleaning up. He caught 2 nice catfish off the dock Friday night and we ate them today (they were great). Rob, Sara, Emmy and John Robert came up on Saturday and we all went for a boat ride, it was John Robert's 1st and he seemed in enjoy it, in spite of being so sleepy he fell asleep while we were riding. Emmy has always loved to ride the boat. I have a new camera and I enjoyed taking pictures of everybody as well as some nature shots, I am going to try and post some later.
